Early Childhood Program at ISP:
Our early childhood program is a play-based, joyful, and multiage experience that nurtures learning through choice, fostering social-emotional growth, creativity, and fun.
In both indoor and outdoor spaces, students explore everyday concepts, develop critical thinking, and cultivate the skills needed to thrive in the future.
Education goes beyond academics

Conscious Discipline:
Our Social Emotional Learning Curriculum
Conscious Discipline is a program that provides our students, teachers, and parents with strategies to help them navigate a diversity of situations encountered in their daily life and social interactions.
It teaches them to self regulate, negotiate, and advocate for themselves. It is the foundation supporting our Early Childhood program.

Creativity Takes the Spotlight at ISP
Our Creative Curriculum is research-based, influenced by educators and psychologists like Montessori, Piaget, and Vygotsky.
Its 38 development and learning objectives focus on key predictors of school success, covering areas such as socio-emotional development, cognition, literacy, math, science, and the arts, ensuring children build the essential skills for success.
The Classroom
In the Reggio Emilia Approach, the classroom is considered the “third teacher”, with every element purposefully designed to foster exploration and engagement.
The environment plays an active role in children’s learning, with each area serving a specific function.
Spaces are introduced gradually,
with clear guidelines for use.
Classroom centers feature Open/Closed signs to maintain structure, and small group setups encourage collaboration and community building.
By limiting the number of children per area, we support exploration and help all children feel comfortable and independent in their learning.
Some key areas of the classroom include:

Atelier
We incorporate in our program the Reggio philosophy’s Atelierista figure as part of our focus on developing each child’s unique potential.
The Atelierista is an artist who supports children in exploring various materials and creative expressions.
This special teacher welcomes and nurtures children’s ideas and ongoing projects as they explore different approaches through art expression
The Atelierista recognizes that children express themselves in hundreds of languages, such as painting, singing, building, dancing, and many more
Our goal is to offer diverse creative languages, helping each child discover and develop their unique talents.
